About Eco
WELCOME TO THE OFFICIAL ECO WIKI
Eco is an online world from Strange Loop Games where players must build civilization using resources from an ecosystem that can be damaged and destroyed. The world of Eco is an incredibly reactive one, and whatever any player does in the world affects the underlying ecosystem.
Eco was released on Steam Early Access on February 6th, 2018.
The latest version of Eco is 0.11.1.6.
Release Eco 1.0 expected in Q4 2024 / Q1 2025

Wiki Community
The Eco Wiki is crowdsourced - this means most information you find here has been written and edited by volunteers. Anyone can edit a pages - these edits must be approved by Admins before being seen everyone can looking at the page. The website is hosted and run by Strange Loop Games. See also Privacy Policy.
Editor Collaboration
Join Eco Contribution Wiki Discord for the quickest and most up-to-date response if you have a question about the wiki. This is a place for all people wishing to contribute to the Wiki to be able to discuss and help each other out. #suggestions Channel is where editors keep track of plans and tasks for the wiki.

Engineers use the materials created by other professions to create cutting edge technology that paves the way for technological advancement.

Farmers specialize in all aspects of agriculture. The crops they produce are a primary source of the calories needed to perform work.

Update 11.1 Early Access
We're happy to announce New Explosives, Land Vehicle Painting, Reworked Powered Cart, Extended Maintenance and Repair Bounties, Reworked Tutorial and Log Furniture.
Update 11.0 Early Access
Today we are launching Eco 11 with Expanded Culture, Painting, Outdoor Room, Maintenance and Repairs Items, Eco Marketplace, Adobe Blocks and Offline Play.
Update 10.2 Early Access
The main changes in this update are a new Blacksmith profession, tons of improvements for the Exhaustion system, legal 'Injunctions' and bug fixes and balance changes.

We've been taking a lot of feedback on the settlement system that was newly introduced in 10.0 and add Homestead Support Papers, Changes to Annexation and Border Control.
