Gold Ore veins have light streaks running through them with a subtle gold color. They are easiest to find in the Jungle, but when found in Granite they look similar to the surrounding Granite and can be easy to overlook.

Gold Ore is likely to be most abundant in the Boreal Forest [[biome]], 40-70 blocks below the surface, where it has a 5% chance to spawn. It is less common (1% chance) 20-40 blocks below Boreal Forest.
