Gold Ore is a naturally occurring Resource in the world. It can be found within Granite.
It appears to be most common in Rainforest, 40-70 blocks under the surface, but can be found in many different biomes.
Gold Ore can be mined and refined to create Gold Ingots.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
Gold Ore veins have light streaks running through them with a subtle gold color. They are easiest to find in the Jungle, but when found in Granite they look similar to the surrounding Granite and can be easy to overlook.
Location[edit | edit source]
The information here is based on default ("vanilla") settings and may not be accurate in worlds with custom configurations or mods enabled. Gold ore always spawns within Granite.

- 15% chance, 42-45 blocks below surface
- 0.2% chance, 1-20 blocks below surface - with 6-14 blocks
- 0.05% chance, 50-55 blocks below surface - with 15-55 blocks
- 0.02% chance, at surface - with 3-8 blocks
