The Modern Axe, which does only slightly more damage than a steel axe but significantly reduces the need of repairs and food, can be acquired by crafting it in an Assembly Line. It has a base damage of 2.5 and a base calorie cost of 10, and can be used a whopping 2500 times before needing repair.
