The Steam engine is a type of power source used to power various Mechanics Specialty stations, such as the Assembly Line, the Screw Press, the Shaper and the Lathe.

It generates 2000W of Mechanical Power, while consuming 30W of Mechanical Power from Fuel source.

History

As of version 10.0, the Steam Engines produces mechanical energy again.

Prior to 7.6.1 Update Steam Engines were producing mechanical energy. This lead into a game breaking bug inside the players skill tree system. So its energy output has been corrected to electric.
