Hewn Log is a Tier 1 construction material made from Wood. Depending on the Logs used will give you a different variation of Hewn, currently, there are three variants.
- Hewn Log
- Hardwood Hewn Log created using wood with the TAG: Hardwood.
- Softwood Hewn Log created using wood with the TAG: Softwood.
Hewn Logs can be placed in various block forms for construction while a hammer is active. Hold "F" to view the options for placement including the type of Hewn Log to be placed, and how you place the Hewn Log.
They are considered an important early building material (along with Mortared Stone), as it is used as an ingredient for several skill books which enable progression.
