Notes[edit | edit source]

  • The price reduction, while being essential to any profession, only applies to things that can be reduced to 1 item, without rounding of the % reduction. This means that a Basic Upgrade 4 will not reduce the price of 2 of the same item in a recipe, but will reduce the price of 3. Multiple repetitions of the same recipe count toward this, so crafting in bulk can take full advantage of the price reduction.
    • The Specialty Upgrades can somewhat mitigate this effect by simply cutting the price of anything in half.
  • Every Upgrade recipe in the game is designed in such a way that multiple players will collaborate in order to make these in a reasonable amount of time. This assumes "No Collaboration" isn't active.
  • Upgrades will apply their bonuses to crafts of upgrades. Players can use this mechanic to great effect as to greatly reduce the price of upgrade crafting. Note that the quantity of upgrades needed in the crafts will not be affected.
  • Upgrades are one of the most valued items in the game, due to their usage.

Strategy[edit | edit source]

  • Most players will decide to begin selling their goods only after having procured themselves an Upgrade. This strategy generally improves the efficiency of any business.
  • Using the Barter Currency, which is exclusive to the store it's used in, players can create "automatic stores" in which players provide the exact materials needed for the craft. The storeowner can make a significant profit by using Basic Upgrades on the related crafting stations.
    • Players can source materials (including Basic Upgrades) from anywhere - this includes other stores made by the automatic store's owner.
    • Such stores are usually named along the lines of "Automatic BU1 -> BU2". They may not always be in stock, since the stock is created by other players' provisions of materials.
