The Composite Bow, which significantly reduces the need of repairs compared to the Recurve Bow, can be acquired by crafting it in an Assembly Line. It has a base damage of 1.5 and a base calorie cost of 40, and can be used a whopping 2,000 times before needing repair at a cost of 15 Steel Bars.
