The Solar Generator generates Electric Power by harnessing the sun's energy. But actually, it works constantly, regardless of the time of day. This generator provides electric energy in a 40 block range. It can be turned off/on. They Output 750W of power into the grid.

As of 9.1, The Solar Generator requires water to function.
As of 9.0, SolarPanels are now Generators again.
Prior to 7.5.0 Beta Update SolarPanels where known as Solar Generators (currently, when trying to create SolarPanels you will need to craft a Solar Generator at the Electronics Assembly and it will make a SolarPanel, this is most probably a bug).
