Benefits and item availability by level:
The study of specialization start from level 0 when learning a Painting Skill Scroll and increases to level 1 by spending a star.
The maximum level of Painting specialization that can be achieved is level 7.

Lavish Workspace: Painting
Increases the tier requirement of tables by 0.2, but reduces the resources needed by 5 percent.(Only applies to claimed workstations)
