Tags are used in Crafting as some recipes require any item from a tag rather than one certain type of item. For example, when cooking you might need a CharredGreen item meaning you can use either Charred Agave, Charred Fireweed Shoots, or Wilted Fiddleheads to complete the project.

Tags are a group of items that are similar.
